BEFORE YOUR TATTOO
Please come in well rested and well fed. Tattoos take a lot of energy out of you and require you to sit still and deal with pain for a while. If you want the best tattoo you can get, make sure you have a good meal and a good nights sleep. Do no come in drunk, on drugs or hungover.
Don’t get a tattoo if you are sick.
Bring a sweet snack and something to drink. You might not need it, but if you do it’s nice to have.
Wear comfortable clean loose fitting clothes that allows easy access to the general area being tattooed and that will not rub or wear on your new tattoo when it is done. Zippered sweaters are great, they can help keep you covered when cold and make great pillows.
If you have a large amount of course hair in the area to be tattooed carefully and gently shave it and the surrounding area the day before. My little disposable razors are not meant for major hair gardening!
People sweat when getting tattooed. So you know, be clean and wear deodorant. But please do not wear anything with a major smell that can be very hard to deal with in close proximity over an extended time.
Do NOT use numbing cream before your appointment. There are many reasons for this, if you want to use numbing cream please let us know before hand and we will go over the proper procedure and relevant information.
You can bring a friend along if you like, but only one person. Tattoos are an intense experience that requires a lot of mental energy for the artist and the collector. It is better generally to come alone.
If you have any questions don’t be afraid to ask!
